Tech & Writing Project: Talking to a Famous Person |
For this short project, you will use the grammar you have learned (embedded questions) and write a dialog between two or more people.
Here are the steps to follow:
1. Working alone or with a classmate, choose a well-known, famous person who interests you, such as a politician, actor, entertainer, athlete, leader, or historical figure from the past or present.
2. Think of three to five things you would like to know about this person. Write questions for how you could ask this person about his or her life to get answers to the things you want to know.
3. Use the internet to find the answers to the questions.
4. Write a dialog in which one or two people ask the questions and make statements in embedded form in an interview of the famous person. Write the famous person's answers in first person ("I).
5. Create a slideshow using Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides, or other slideshow Web site or program to digitize the dialog.
6. Share your work by submitting it to the instructor via email or through Blackboard Messages.
7. Present your "interview with a famous person" project to the class.
